Chronic Chrome

Something about chrome makes me giddy!  I absolutley love flashy rims.  Add some chrome accessories and I am in heaven.  I don't know what it is about chrome, I even have my kids pointing out "Sick Rims" on a daily basis.  I dream of having the courage to waltz into a random car show and just start shooting.  Is this normal?  Shouldn't I be into satin and lace?  Regardless, here are a few photos of chrome, chrome and more chrome, in honor of my brother in law (since it is his bike and he is currently overseas)...Enjoy!

Autumn Amazes Me

I don't remember marveling in natures wonders when I was a child.  I don't know if this is because it was just taken for granted by my family and I never noticed the beauty around me or if I have just blocked so much of my childhood out that I have misplaced the memories.  Whatever the reason, I am making up for lost times now!  I just can not get enough of nature and the beauty that surrounds us on a daily basis.  Photographing nature is one of my absolutely favorite past times and that enjoyment intensifies in Autumn.  I was going thru photos the other day and came across some of my favorites from Autumns past.
I look forward to the hayrides and walks thru the park picking up the stunning red, yellow and orange leaves from the path.  I long for the car rides with my family pointing out the splendid array of colors.

Sunset Silhouette

I have been wanting to try to capture some sunset silhouettes since seeing one a friend of mine (Tracy) shot.  Last night we headed to the beach with only minutes to spare before the sun slipped away.
I was not super thrilled with this once I got home because I failed to remove the white sweatshirt hanging around my daugter's waist and it appears in each shot even after some minor editing.  However, I loved that the kids were more than co-operative in my endeavors.  My son knew exactly what I was trying to do before I even spoke the words.

In fact, he is the photographer of this sunset silhouette of my husband and I.  After playing/posing for a few shots for me, he asked if he could give it a try and how could I resist a budding photographers plea?  I am really impressed with his work, he also pointed out that he stepped back to capture the long narrow heart between my husband and I.  He is so created and saw more than I did in this shot!

Capturing the tree's silhouette.
Something about this last one was interesting to me, haven't figured it out yet, but I like it!

Queen Anne's Lace

This is one of my favorite flowers to photograph.  I actually googled it today to find out more and discovered that it is also called "Wild Carrot".  While we already know where to find it, did you know it was introduced from Europe, and the carrots that we eat today were once cultivated from this plant?
Queen Anne's Lace can grow up to four feet tall with fern-like leaves that are two to eight inches long. This plant is best known for its tiny, white flowers which bloom in clusters resembling lace.
You will find this plant from May to October. Amazingly enought, it is a biennial plant, which means it lives for two years. Spending the first year growing and the second year blooming.   Many people consider this plant and invasive weed.

I consider it just another stunning piece of God's Art.

Misconstrued-to misinterpret

Since purchasing my camera I have found that I am often "misconstrued".  Some think that I am trying to be something that I am not.  And others think that I am something that I am not.  To put it simply, I am a Wife, a Mother and a Photography Lover.

I have thousands and thousands of photos that I want to share, I hope this blog will help me do that.
